What is a Multipurpose WordPress Theme?
In concept, a multipurpose theme is created as a template suitable for any type of brand, business, or service. These themes come equipped with all the basic content features for building a website like text, images, galleries, and forms. Many of them also incorporate advanced features like background video, pricing charts, e-commerce, and social media integration, and more. These basic and advanced features are usually integrated in a way that gives you the flexibility of stylistic design to best suit the nature of your business.
These themes are more of a blank canvas for creating just about any style while still guiding you with intuitive layouts, features, and tools. So, while sites built with the same multipurpose theme may be somewhat similar, they can still be unique in their own right.
How to Choose a Multipurpose Theme
There are quite a few multipurpose themes to choose from, and it’s important to find the one that works best for you. Most developers feature demos of their multi-purpose themes which will give you an idea of how one theme can be reworked and reused for a variety of different purposes.
Look at examples to see if you’re going to be able to build the exact site that you want. Also, make sure the theme you choose includes all the features you’ll need as many have multiple built-in color skins, the ability to import the exact demo you liked, and integrated plug-ins like RevSlider to create awesome sliders or VisualComposer to make building pages a cinch.
